UHI: Underwater Hyperspectral Imager
The Scientific UHI 6 is specialized for research within underwater hyperspectral imaging and for deep waters. It is a push-broom style line camera and allows full access to the raw sensor data at resolutions of 1936 pixels across track and >800 spectral sampling bands. The spectral range is 380 -750nm covering more than the complete visible range under water with a refraction limited optical resolution of 5.5nm.
The line sampling rates can be as high as 100Hz with full resolution, and can be increased to 200 Hz if reducing the spatial and spectral region of interest.
The UHI also features a videocamera that works as a view finder and accompanies the hyperspectral camera. The resolution is 5 MP 2592 x 1944 pixels at 5Hz but is normally configured to 648×486 at 3 Hz.
The Scientific UHI can be combined with auxillary equipment such as the SpectraLux subsea lights and an ISA500 altimeter and has a wide range of options.
